Voice · Schoology sync · Adaptive practice

The homework buddy that asks better questions.

StudyPal talks kids through homework the way a good tutor would — asking questions, breaking things down, never just handing over the answer. Voice, chat, and auto-synced assignments in one friendly place.

What's inside

Everything a real tutor does.
Without replacing the thinking.

Five things a homework buddy should do that most AI chatbots don't.

Voice tutoring

Talk through a problem out loud. Buddy listens, asks follow-ups, and walks you through it like a patient tutor — powered by Gemini Live.

"Okay, can you read me the first word problem?" — Buddy

Schoology auto-sync

No more "I forgot to check." StudyPal pulls today's homework, tests, and handouts from Schoology automatically.

Math: worksheet 3.2 · Science: Ch 4 quiz Fri

Adaptive practice

Generates practice problems from your actual coursework and adjusts to what you're struggling with.

Journal snap

Snap a photo of your planner. AI pulls out assignments, deadlines, and tests into a clean checklist.

Book recs

Smart reading suggestions based on your level, interests, and what's working in school.

How it works

From stuck to "oh, I get it" in three steps.

01

Sign in with your school name

Your parent sets up a PIN once. No email scavenger hunts, no app store downloads. Works right in the browser.

02

Bring a real assignment

Buddy auto-syncs homework from Schoology — or snap a photo of your planner. No made-up practice problems.

03

Talk it out, step by step

Type or use voice. Buddy asks questions, nudges you toward the answer, and celebrates when you get it.

For parents

Peace of mind, without looking over a shoulder.

StudyPal is designed for the way kids actually do homework — and the way parents actually want AI to behave. It nudges, it teaches, and it stops short of doing the work for them.

  • Teaches, doesn't cheat. Socratic method by default — Buddy asks before it answers.
  • Kid-safe AI. Guardrails on content, age-appropriate tone, no ads or data resale.
  • You see what's happening. Daily digest of what your kid worked on and where they got stuck.
  • PIN login, no tracking. No social features, no "share with friends," nothing to manage.

I used to give up on math homework. Buddy doesn't just tell me the answer — it makes me figure it out. But the nice way, not the annoying way.

FAQ

Questions parents ask us.

Will StudyPal just do my kid's homework for them?
No. That's the whole point. Buddy is tuned to ask guiding questions, break problems into smaller steps, and only confirm the final answer after the student has done the thinking. If a kid asks for a direct answer, Buddy pushes back — politely.
What age range is this for?
StudyPal is tuned for roughly 3rd through 8th grade. The tone, vocabulary, and subject coverage (elementary math, middle-school science, writing, reading) are calibrated for that range. It works for kids outside that band too, but that's the sweet spot.
How does the Schoology sync work?
Sign in once and StudyPal pulls assignments, files, and due dates directly from your Schoology account. Buddy uses your real homework as context — no generic practice problems, no hallucinated worksheets.
Is it safe? What about data?
Kid-safe by design. No ads, no data resale, no social features. PIN-based login with no passwords to remember or leak. Conversations aren't used to train public models. Parents get a daily digest of what their kid worked on.
How much does it cost?
StudyPal is currently free for families at partner schools. We're adding more schools each semester. If you'd like to bring StudyPal to yours, join the list below and we'll reach out.
What's it built with?
Google Gemini for the AI reasoning, running on Google Cloud. The voice tutor uses Gemini Live for real-time conversation. Assignments sync automatically from Schoology so kids see their actual homework, not generic drills.

Homework, but it actually clicks.
